Gewo

Originally founded in 1898 in the town of Gelnhausen, GEWO started as a saddlery and leather goods company under the leadership of Peter Wolf. Two generations later, in 1956, GEWO set a new course with the successful production of table tennis tables. It took about 10 years until the mid-1960s for GEWO to become the leading manufacturer of table tennis tables in Europe.

Although the focus in the following years was on table tennis tables, a turning point came when Frank Koschnick and Wolfgang Sohns took over GEWO in 1991. Within 10 years they transformed GEWO into one of the largest table tennis brands in Germany. They decided to offer the full range of high quality table tennis products.
