Yasaka

For more than seventy years, Yasaka has been synonymous with quality and innovation in the world of table tennis. It all started in 1947, when Yasaka Co. Ltd. was founded by Mr. Hirosi Yaoita and Mr. Sakamoto. The name Yasaka is a combination of their surnames, YAoita and SAKAmoto. An avid table tennis player himself, Mr. Yaoita aimed to provide table tennis players with products of high technical quality and superior performance.

In 1950, Yasaka began to grow rapidly, partly due to close cooperation with top Japanese players who took the leading position in the world of table tennis. With the introduction of the Original Yasaka rubber, Yasaka provided numerous champions around the world with their equipment.

In 1969, Yasaka introduced the revolutionary MARK V table tennis rubber technology. This rubber quickly became a great success and led to victories at the 1970 European Championships and the 1971 World Championships. Since then, MARK V has been continuously developed and is probably the most famous table tennis product in the world.

In 1993, Yasaka started producing table tennis blades in Tranås, Sweden, and introduced the successful Yasaka EXTRA blade. In 2008, Yasaka player Ma Lin won gold in the men's singles and with the men's team at the Beijing Olympics. Ma Lin is the only male player to win Olympic gold in singles, doubles and with the team, and he is also the only player to win the Men's Singles World Cup four times.

Yasaka continues to innovate and has introduced several high-performance rubber and blade lines over the years. One of the recent highlights is the introduction of the Rakza Z and Rakza Z Extra Hard rubbers, which are part of the successful Rakza family.
