The SpinLord Gipfelsturm is a revolutionary pimpled rubber with unique properties. With longer and wider pimples than traditional long pimple rubbers, Gipfelsturm plays almost like a normal short pimple rubber, yet retains the dangerousness of semi-long pimple rubbers.
The Gipfelsturm studs are conically shaped and very long (1.65 mm), with a width of 1.98 mm at the top and even wider at the bottom. This, together with the small spacing between the studs, creates a unique playing experience that is difficult to classify - short, semi-long or long.
The rubber has a soft touch, despite the fact that both the rubber layer and the sponge are medium-hard. Both are very elastic, so the studs can even wobble a little, especially when playing block balls close to the table. Gipfelsturm is effective when playing with spin, both flipping and topspin. Blocking balls and counter-attacks are possible comfortably and aggressively, resulting in a lot of pressure on the opponent.
Although it is not as easy to play as other short pimple rubbers and is slightly heavier, Gipfelsturm offers an excellent combination of speed, spin and disruptive effect for experienced players looking for a versatile rubber.
