SpinLord Sternenfall is a long pimpled rubber with cylindrical pimples and small support cones at the bottom. The studs are ribbed and have a medium width with a wide gap between them. The rubber compound is medium hard yet elastic, making the Sternenfall versatile to play. It is slower than other harder pimpled rubbers, but offers an above-average disruptive effect. This rubber is exceptionally durable and can be used actively due to its insensitivity to opponent spin.
Sternenfall is ideal for attacking play, where players can attack almost any ball, including hard counter-attacks and powerful shots. It is less suitable for passive blocking balls, but can be used safely for heel and undercut balls. The ox version is suitable for play close to the table, while the sponge version is more suitable for players who play further away from the table. Sternenfall is ideal for intermediate and lower level players. For advanced players looking for an attacking pimple rubber, the Strahlkraft may be more suitable. The Sternenfall offers excellent durability, ribbed stud heads and medium control, with a speed of 68, a disruptive effect of 95 and a medium hardness.
